Peter Capaldi is an award-winning Scottish actor, writer and director best known internationally as the Twelfth Doctor in Doctor Who. He played the Doctor from 2013 to 2017, starring alongside Jenna Coleman, Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas. Before entering the TARDIS, Capaldi became famous for his brilliantly explosive performance as Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It and its film spin-off In the Loop. His extensive career also includes Torchwood, Paddington, Paddington 2, The Suicide Squad, Criminal Record and the acclaimed series The Devil’s Hour.
