Kristine Sutherland is an American actress best known as Joyce Summers, mother of Buffy and Dawn Summers, in *Buffy the Vampire Slayer*. Joyce was one of the series’ most important recurring characters and appeared across its first five seasons. Sutherland is also known for playing Mae Thompson in the hugely successful family comedy *Honey, I Shrunk the Kids*.
